Feta is the original Greek mountain shepherd’s cheese. Originally made from either sheep or goats’ milk, this Mediterranean cheese adds a wonderful saltiness to salads, antipasto and savoury pies, such as Spanakopita, the classic Greek spinach and feta pie.
Origin Earth’s feta is packed in 20% brine which preserves an age-old tradition that pre-dates refrigeration. For a less salty palate, rinse or soak in fresh water and dab dry before using.
Some feta’s are very moist and crumbly, while others, like this one, are firmer and easier to cut.
